Quartzites are metamorphosed quartz sandstones. Fireproof and non-slippery, these are used in wall-cladding, roofing, flooring and for all types of interior as well as exterior decorations. Medium-grained and usually of a granoblastic texture, these can be cut to slabs, pavements, flags and are usually used as quartzite tiles.
